PRESS RELEASE
We are PDP youths, operating under the umbrella of OEM,a group made of registered PDP youths in Orlu LGA.
We wish to once again, remind the party leadership  in Orlu LGA and beyond of an already existing zoning formula which made it mandatory for power rotation among the two political blocks of orsu and Isu clan.
It is on record that since 1999,positions of membership of house of assembly and LGA chairmanship have always been rotated among the two political blocks.
With Hon Prince Dr Steve Orji from ihioma(Orsu clan)serving from 1999-2003,as a gentleman,he adhered strictly to the gentleman agreement of one tenure.
The same thing applied to Hon Dr Peter Ukaigwe from Isu clan.He served from 2003-2007.
The 2007 general election saw the emergence of Hon Onuora Olumba from Amaifeke (Orsu clan).
The 2011 general election saw chief Peter Okorie from Owerri Ebeiri (Isu clan)securing the PDP ticket. However, the combination of Owelle Rochas Okorocha’s team saw Hon Barr Mike Ndubuaku from Ogberuru (Orsu)winining the election on the platform of APGA.
During the 2015 general election, the then rulling party in the state (APC)in adherence to the written zoning agreement adopted Hon Chief Max Odunze (Isu clan)as its ticket holder.
During that particular election, both PDP and APC had ticket bearers from Isu clan.
Later in 2019,Hon Chief Max Odunze of Max Aluminum as a gentleman and leader respected the zoning arrangement and did not re-contest his seat,by that singlar patriotic action of his,he demonstrated the true attributes of a leader and gentleman, which gave way for the emergence of Hon Chief Pascal Okolie, who hails from Okporo in Orsu clan.
However,it surprised us as a Group, that instead of Hon Pascal Okolie who himself,  is a product of zoning arrangement to respect the long existing zoning arrangement in place, has thrown caution to the wind with the desire to recontest.Though this is to us as a rumour since he hasn’t told any of us of his intention to recontest.
Moreover,if there are people who should be considered for second term mandate,it would have been the likes of Hon Onuora Olumba, who was among the legislators that  stood to be counted when their people needed them most.
His contributions at the legislative Chambers then remained unrivaled.
Moreover,if performance are the measurement for second term mandate, then the likes of Hon Chief Pascal Okolie has no business with such aspirations.
However,we are in a Nation,where everything goes!.
Therefore,as a responsible and peace loving political  Pressure Group, with the interest of the party in our heart,we are using this medium to urge the party leadership to please save the party from total collapse.
We must not allow anybody  to destroy PDP  before returning to APGA  where he originally belongs.
A stitch in time,saves nine!.
