No Contractor Paid Money  Into My Account, Says Mgbala Agwa PG

Following the news making round in media recently by some mischievous elements concerning some on going  projects in Mgbala community, alleged the president General of being in possession of the sum of #50m made for the community projects. ” Putting the record straight there was no money paid into my account by any contractor “.

The President General of Mgbala Agwa Community in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, Prince Chidi Nwokocha (Ezembi), has openly denied all the allegations leveled against him by some persons from his community with the indention to danish his reputation and who never wants the peace and development in the area.

Prince Nwokeocha made the debunk on a media chart with journalist last Monday, in Owerri.

Clearing the air, the accused person, Prince Ezembi, thanked the press for deemed it necessary to verified from him for proper investigative journalism, as he condemned the actions of those using media to caused mayhem.

According to the President General, “I was led by God to serve my people and because it has being destined that i will be a leader in my community that is while i was unopposed chairman, Peace Committee/ Development in Mgbala Agwa. And i did my work without fear of favour, based on that my people found me worthy and elected me as their President General in accordance with the mandate of the state government.

” Since my inception as PG, i run all inclusive  office yet few individuals from my community are busy fighting my office and progress of area.

” Now i want to state categorically to the public that, there was no sum of #50m electricity project paid to me by an Oil Company in my community as alleged by my  detractors” Prince Chidi Nwaokeocha,  reveled.

The PG, further, highlighted that he never for once entered into a secret business with any of the contractors handling the electricity project to hauled the sum of #50m as alleged. So  ” i maintained that such allegations against me  does not hold water and can not stand reasons that i have severed my community and rendered assistance to so many people from my area on personal note. I was chose by the government and my people, but the fact remain that those kicking against me and my position are ignorant of the truth. And some of the contractors are indigenes and they are doing their job as agreed.

” There was collective agreement among the leaders and the people of Mgbala Agwa community to use our own #1m shared for a road project linking Mgbala and Egbema.  ” Sum of #1m that was expected from the Oil Company for the annual community developmental project but unfortunately, the three  host communities did not receive the supposed fund, even after our agreement to use the money for the overall interest of the community.

Ezembi, disclosed that, following the General Memorandum of Understanding, (MOU), signed with Sterling Global Oil Company Lagos State of Nigeria, operating in our communities particularly in the 3 major host communities including: Mgbala, Umuofeke and Umukpu.

The PG, mentioned that, among the indigenous contractors with Sterling Global Oil Company in Lagos, after their interviews with the management, include, Tony Best Ahamefule, Sammy Black, Williams Ejiako, and three others who accepted to pay the sum of #50m but surprisingly only Tony Best Company was able to released the sum of #1m as community interest.

The Traditional Ruler of Mgbala Agwa Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Bless Mbah, the Traditional Prime Minister, TPM,of Mgbala Agwa, High Chief Stephen Ajoku, and the President General, of Mgbala Agwa Autonomous community, Prince Chidi Nwokocha, were present at press chart.

In his reactions, the Traditional Prime Minister, TPM, of Mgbala Agwa Autonomous community, High Chief Stephen Ajoku, regrettably expressed in dismay with the level of false allegation against his PG, as he insisted that there was no such financial transactions for whatsoever reasons.

He maintained that, the project Implementation/Monitoring Committee are intact working for the general interest of the communities and there was no such amount of money released to his PG.

High Chief Ajoku, therefore, appealed to those parading falsehood against the leadership of Mgbala Agwa ,under the President General office should desist from such ugly acts.
