Anyanwu’s Course Mates Reward him with Excellent Life Achievements Award 

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has received in audience his former course mates at the University of Port Harcourt.

The former course mates of U-96 set led by their Chairman, Chief Patrick Duru also used the medium to bestow on the PDP Gubernatorial candidate in the November election with life achievements award.

Presenting the award, Chief Duru who was the Deputy Course Representative of their set maintained that the honour was in recognition of Senator Anyanwu’s excellent performance in the development of human and the society at large.

According to him, Senator Anyanwu is part of their course mates that have made them proud, adding that following his political tenacity and practice devoid of rancour and acrimony, the entire members of U-96 set of University of Port Harcourt, Department of Public Administration resolved to support his bid to be Governor of Imo State.

The group made up of Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Delta, Edo and Imo indigenes, amongst others expressed delight on the political achievements of their course mate, and charged others to emulate him.

Speaking separately, Dr Dan Izuma, Nwauwa Ikenna, Dr Gboyie Kpokubo, Elder Obinna Nwaigwe, Patrick Akpan and Joseph Payiye eulogized Senator Anyanwu for maintaining a clean and undented image since he ventured into politics.

They noted that Senator Anyanwu’s bid to occupy the number one seat in the state was germaine and achievable citing the period of hunger, anguish and starvation the people of the state have found themselves, adding that the election gives Imo people the another opportunity to elect a Governor they could relate with easily and be proud to call their own.

Addressing them, Senator Anyanwu appreciated his course mates for the visit after traveling from far to Imo state, and promised not to disappoint them.

He expressed joy that while other politicians were finding it difficult to identify their course mates simply because they did not pass through any conventional tertiary institutions, his own course mates are doing well in their various fields of endeavors.

While assuring them of his desire to take the Department of Public Administration and U-96 set to an enviable height, Anyanwu further maintained that one of his priorities when elected Executive Governor was to secure Imo state from the stranglehold of insecurity, poverty, greed, corruption and cruel administration.
