As a fallout of the recent Owerri APC zonal summit at Nwaorieubi, Mbaitoli LGA Council headquarters, which recorded low turn out of the party’s executives in the 12 INEC wards in the LGA, Chairman of APC in Ifakala ward,Mr.Moses Ewurum,has appealed for all-inclusive participation of people in the on-going campaign for the reelection of Gov. Hope Uzodimma, especially the grassroot leaders of the party, come, November, 11,2023.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the meeting of the wards and LGA executives of the party with the State Working Committee,SWC, of the APC led by Chairman of Imo APC,Hon.Macdonald Ebere, on Tuesday, August, 22,2023, Ewurum noted that the task of delivering Gov.Uzodimma to victory calls for collective efforts of all and sundry.
Also challenging the ward executives of the party in Mbaitoli LGA to live up to expectations of the APC in the interest of Gov.Uzodimma’s avowed victory,Ewurum posited that the ward executives are expected to champion the campaign by way of mass mobilization and enlightenment of the grassroot people ahead of polls.
He regretted the low turn out of the ward executives of the party during the Owerri zonal meeting of the APC at Nwaorieubi, while appealing for a robust synergy between the Mbaitoli LGA executive of the party and those at the ward level, adding that such team work would help in ensuring an all-round victory for Gov.Hope Uzodimma in Mbaitoli LGA, considering the size and numerical value of the LGA in periodic elections in the state.
He further appealed to all APC faithful at the wards to continue galvanizing support and solidarity for Gov.Uzodimma’s victory in the awaited November, 11,2023 Governorship Election in the state by trooping out enmasse to vote the APC Governorship candidate to victory,as Ewurum pledged massive support by eligible voters in Ifakala ward in order to secure an overwhelming victory for the Governor in the ward.
Ewurum however, expressed solidarity and mutual support on behalf of the APC executive in Ifakala ward over the visit to Mbaitoli LGA by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party, even as he used the occasion in commending the party executive in the ward for a massive turn out during the visit.
