Unlawful Duty: OCDA Destroys Journalist’s Home In Imo

“GM ordered SA-Njoku to vandalize, loot my home”

On 3rd August, 2022 by 5pm people numbering more than ten according to my wife came to my apartment and chased her out from the bedroom, they destroyed all the lourves in the apartment removed burglary proofs from the window and door leading to the parlour and my bedroom. The men took my plasma TV in my parlour and went into the bedroom to collect 2 pairs of Italian suits and 2 pairs of shoes. They also open a new hair dryer’s carton and collected 5million and 1.5 million I also hide inside a sack bag covered it with clothes.

The money is meant for Grassroots Orientation and Emancipation International annual lecture which the committee was just set up at the University of Nigeria. The Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) invaded my apartment and told my wife that the building belong to the government and handed her over a note of demolition/remove notice that will last for 7 days.

After the operation, I called the number in OCDA note, S.A operations 08024231486 and he admitted the act and said that they got a petition that I have not paid rent for five years which is not true.

I have pleaded with him to return the money which belongs to my organization because the annual lecture will soon hold so as to avoid hindrance that will cost both the state government more.

When I spoke with the PPRO, one Adaogu Okwara who denied earlier that it is not OCDA workers that came to my apartment admitted and ask me to come to her office but I replied her that my rooms are open and nothing has been done yet, but she should try and ask her OCDA people to return what the used 2 bases to remove back to my apartment for security reason. Some of the claims the OCDA people are making did not reflect in the paper they dropped with my wife.

The OCDA is not in-charge of removing someone from the house especially when it is not government property, but the critical issue there is that the criminals among them especially the ones living in my street may have suspected that I kept money and came with a frame up to collect the money I am keeping for a progamme.

The OCDA people used two policemen who surrender my wife and my little daughter with gun which was contained in the message I sent to Imo State command through its control room phone number.

OCDA are not in any way looking for illegal structures or occupants because illegal structure and occupants are at the back of my apartment and untouched by the said OCDA that work by 5pm to 6pm.

The OCDA has cleared air by admitting allegations against her that the agency recruits hoodlums who specialize in arson and killing of innocent people which government accuses the bandits.
