Imo LG Elections must hold -ISIEC chair

The chairman of Imo state Independent Electoral Commission, Mrs. Pauline Onyeka has reassured the people of the state that there is no going back on the March 8, 2022, Imo Local Government elections.
She spoke to newsmen in her office in Owerri, the Imo state capital, where she maintained her earlier stand that the forthcoming Imo Local Government Elections must hold on the stipulated date.
The chairman told Imolites to be rest assured of the March 8, 2022 Imo LG Elections, saying that the commission is ready and fully prepared to conduct the polls.
She promised to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the State and she went on used this medium to reassure the people of the state of giving all the candidates of the political parties a level playing ground.
According to her, “Imo people should not nurse any fear whatsoever because she is fully prepared and ready to conduct the election in the State”.
“I want to assure you all that the Imo LG Elections will still hold on the stipulated date, my word is my bond”,she said.
