…Insist on change

Youths under the umbrella of Okigwe North Progressive Forum have continued to harp on the need for change in Okigwe North Federal Constituency of Imo State. Speaking to newsmen in Isiala Mbano LGA of the state during an empowerment/sensitization programme, the National President of the organization, Comrade Sylvanus Chidinma Onyenagubo said that the need for positive change in the area becomes imperative.
Comrade Onyenagubo condemned a situation whereby the federal constituency continues to experience infrastructural delay, lack of federal presence, poor representation and selfish politics.
He said that the federal constituency has the highest number of unemployed graduates, a situition he attributed to senseless representation in the area.
Comrade Onyenagubo stated that the youths must rise to the occasion by insisting that only men of impeccable records are voted into elective positions in the area.
The national president opined that the era of imposition of persons on the federal constituency is over, maintaining that only people who have records of human development, job creation are voted.
Comrade Onyenagubo said that organization brought the message of change in the federal constituency, owing to the era of marginalization and infrastructural delay in Okigwe North Federal Constituency.
He insisted that anybody who does not have respect for the welfare of the people and job creation for the teeming youths will be vehemently rejected in the area.
Comrade Onyenagubo said his organization has empowered indigent women and youths in the area by providing them with funds and tools for business.
He informed about the on-going building of structure for Police Station at P.D.S in Isiala Mbano and establishment of farm plant in Okigwe LGA. Comrade Onyenagubo said that when completed, the issue of insecurity will be restored as there will be many employment opportunities.
Adding her voice, the national president of the Women’s wing of the Organization, Chief (Mrs.) Adanma Nwaukwa said that they were out to ensure positive change in the area.
Chief Nwaukwa informed that Okigwe Youth Progressive Forum is reaching out to all the nooks and crannies of the federal constituency to preach message of positive change in order to give the people a sense of belonging.”
The rally witnessed the empowerment of rural farmers with 20 bags of fertilizers and sharing 2, 000 pieces of wrappers to the members of the organization.
