The Mazi Organization yesterday announced a strategic political pathway for its Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi (Mazi,) confirming his intention to contest both the Owerri Zone Senate seat in the January 2027 general elections and Imo State governorship election in November 2027, under the platform of the Action Peoples Party, APP.
Thie revelation was made during a press briefing in response to recent public discourse regarding Dr. Amadi’s political direction for the upcoming 2027 elections

The Mazi Organization emphasized that this dual approach is a deliberate, well-considered decision, rooted in clarity of purpose, political realism, and deep commitment to building a durable and winning movement in Imo State.
“This is not a decision borne out of uncertainty, rather, it is one rooted in clarity of purpose, political realism, and a deep commitment to building a durable and winning movement,” stated a representative from The Mazi Organization.
Given Imo State’s unique off-cycle governorship election calendar, which follows the general elections by nearly a year, the strategy aims at maximize engagement and consolidate support. Running for the Senate first will allow Dr. Amadi to deepen grassroots mobilization across all local government areas.

The organisation also noted that it will provide immediate and visible leadership, establish a strong institutional foothold at the federal level, and build a broad coalition of stakeholders ahead of the governorship race.
The Mazi Organization highlighted that this is a “tested and proven political approach” in Nigerian politics, citing examples in states like Edo and Bayelsa where leaders had successfully leveraged senatorial contests for broader executive ambition.
,
Sir Henry Onwukwe ,aka,Apiti Uzo Ubi, Director General of The Mazi Organization, asserted that by Dr. Amadi’s exceptional qualifications. ” he is the most qualified amongst all the aspirants in Imo State. “He has all it takes, no other person can match his politics,” he declared.
He compared him as a “Peter Obi in Imo State.” Apiti Uzo Ubi further detailed Dr. Amadi’s extensive philanthropic efforts, including interventions in churches and universities, payment of school fees for over 300 students, clearing hospital bills worth N80 million.

He had also supported market women, building homes for the downtrodden, providing vehicles, and offering assistance to victims of the Toronto Junction incident in Orji.
He made it clear that Dr Amadi has demonstrated capacity to be a governor.
The Mazi Organization concluded by calling for unity and progress.
He urged supporters, party faithful, and the people of Imo State to embrace this strategy as “one continuous journey” that begins with Senate representation and culminates in transformational leadership at the Imo Govenment House, other wise called Douglas House.
