Pleased with the humane-approach of governance of Governor Hope Uzodinma, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Rubby Emele, has immensely appreciated the Governor for smoothing the ground that will enable citizens to easily access Health Insurance Scheme.

The Commissioner, during a media chat in Owerri on Tuesday, thanked God Almighty for blessing Imo State with a good Governor who she said has been showing commitment in the welfare of the people especially in this period of global hardship, by reducing their sufferings in many ways, including the provision of Health Insurance Scheme.

Emele also commended the Local Government Councils Executive Chairmen for doing their best in attending to the needs of the people at the grassroots by providing them with the needed social amenities.

She encouraged them to intensify their efforts in delivering quality service to the people, reminding them that the essence of governance is to bring succour and dividend of democracy to doorsteps of the people.

The Commissioner seized the opportunity to laud the government and Bureau of Public Procurement and Price Intelligence (BPPPI) for organizing a sustainable procurement workshop for the Council Chairmen and other Principal Officers in public service.

Emele affirmed that the purpose for the training was to equip and kit the Chairmen in the proper way of handling procurement issues in their different Councils.

Disclosing her source of inspiration, dexterity and commitment to work, the soft-spoken Commissioner said all she does is focus and trust in God who she described as the ultimate Father and Omnipresent, having positive energy in service delivery, with the knowledge that life is a transit.

She thanked Imo journalists for their support to the 3R administration, urging them not to relent in bringing in their quota to the advancement and progress of the state.
