He averred that the dedication of the church is truly the dedication of God’s people in St Mary’s Church who are the living stones making up a living temple for God.

He  admonished the people to devote themselves in a special way to the service of God and humanity in all they do, praying God to  grant them the courage to reach out and take up the challenge and the blessing accruing from it.

Speaking, Mr Peter Obi, appreciated Ezenwa Ilo for presenting himself as instrument to be used by God to achieve such feat for God’s people, encouraging him who he called his younger brother, not to relent in doing the right things for his community, state and country at large.

The well celebrated LP Presidential Candidate, urged christians to always thread and remain in the right path, stating; “” we all live by the grace of God Almighty and so should endeavour to be faithful in our actions to the church and efforts to help the communities to grow and prosper.

He said,” it was at the young age of about 15 years old that I decided and told my mother that I would like to build a church for God and I’m very elated it has become a reality. Even if I don’t achieve any other thing in life, I’m fulfilled that I have achieved that which will stand the test of time.

Sir ILo encouraged his fellow youths to emulate good ways and believe in themselves to succeed.

“I encourage other youths who have the capacity to embark on such noble deed to follow suit, it must not have to be building of church, it can be something else to benefit humanity, such as building schools or orphanages, those I have also done before as this is not my first service to humanity. With all hands on deck, development will spread across the state”.

Earlier in their address of welcome, the Parish Pastoral Council of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mgbidi, expressed their profound thanks to their illustrious son, Ezenwa Ilo for being generous in God’s vineyard which has amounted to the many achievements of the parish, appreciating also the Bishop for his dynamic leadership in building the faith of the people in the diocese.
