Imo Guber: Ohaneze Youths Rejects Uzodinma, Warns Against Rigging

…Demands redeployment of INEC REC, security agencies rejig

The Ohaneze Youth Counci,OYC has called on the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, and security agencies to ensure a peaceful, free, fair and transparent conduct of the scheduled November 11 governorship election in Imo State.

This is even as the Ohaneze Youth Council raised fears that there could be alleged plot to compromise the process using electoral officials.

The youth body therefore called on President Bola Ahmed  Tinubu, the Inspector General of Police,IGP and other top security chiefs in the country to effect the redeployment of all the security chiefs in Imo State including the Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Imo State,Prof.Sylvia Agu ahead of the coming gubernatorial poll in the state.

In a release recently, the OYC frowned at the raging insecurity in  the  State which it noted, has resulted in the killing and death of many innocent citizens as well as destruction of peoples homes and property.

OYC further urged Imo citizens to go out in their numbers to cast their votes for the candidates of their choice.

It lamented  the report of the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety)  on the level of killings in Imo State.

OYC also called for the disbandment of the Ebubeagu security outfit, alleging highhandness in their operations.
