Links Brothers Progressive Holds End Of Year Party

The Links Brothers Progressive Club International has held its 2022 End of Year Party.  The event took place on Sunday 18th December 2022 at Julie’s Lounge, Heroes Apartment, New Owerri, at 4pm.

In his opening speech at the occasion, the Chairman of the club Hon. Chinedu Kingsley Okeke called on the youths to shun crime and violence during this yuletide period and stressed the need for all citizens to join hands with government to ensure that peace and orderliness is maintained in Imo State. He advised the electorates to collect their PVCS and be ready to enthrone good governance at all levels.  Hon. Chinedu called on INEC and other relevant agencies to ensure a free and fair election in 2023 and pledged the total support of Links Brothers Progressive Club in deepening democracy in Nigeria.

Also speaking at the occasion, the chairman of the Planning Committee Mr. Emeka Amah charged members of the club to sustain the vision and mission of the club in their various Communities during the Christmas and New Year festivities through their trademark philanthropic and selfless services in the society.

As part of the 2022 end of year programme, the club embarked on road walk on the streets of Owerri to keep fit and also visited the Federal Medical Centre Owerri where various items were donated to the sick to assist in their recovery. Other highlights of the occasion were dancing and quiz competitions for children, special prayers for peace in Nigeria, and presentation of awards to distinguished personalities including the Imo State Commissioner for Housing Lady Dr. Love Ineh and the Divisional Police Officer in Charge of New Owerri Division, CSP Salawu Abideen.

The Links Brothers Progressive Club was formed in 2019 and registered as an association of Distinguished Nigerians home and abroad, with the objectives of selfless humanitarian services, fight against corruption and enthronement of good governance in the society.

Other dignitaries that graced the event include High Chief Barr. Titus Eboh, Mrs. Gabrielle Amunika, Chief Greg Uchenna Chibueze, Emeka Unegbu, Ikenna Madu, Emmanuel Amuzie, Rev, Dr. Uchenna Uchehara and Amah Emeka.
