Imo Assembly Passes 2023 Budget In To Law

The Imo State House of Assembly has passed 2023 appropriation bill into law just after a day it was presented on the floor of the House by the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma as the  House adjourns to February 28, 2023.

The plenary which was presided over by the Deputy Speaker,Rt.Hon.Amara Iwuanyanwu on behalf of the Speaker who was said to be  unavoidably absent, said the bill was given accelerated passage in order to help the State Government begin implementation process of the budget for the good of the State.

Introducing the bill to be read the second time, Majority Leader and Member representing Owerri West, Hon.Kanayo Onyemaechi employed the members to give the bill an accelerated hearing so that people of the State will reap the benefits that will come from it.

After a prolonged deliberation the bill was able to be read the third time and passed into law.

After the passage of the bill, the Deputy Speaker thanked Members for giving the bill the urgency it deserved and for attending the plenary in their numbers.He directed the Clerk,Barr.ChineloThe go to produce a clean copy for Governor’s assent
