Don’t bring attack, dogs to church, APGA tells Rochas

Imo state chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA has joined other Imolites in the condemnations of the attacks on the Archbishop of Owerri Catholic Province, His Grace, Anthony Obinna.

Speaking through the Imo state Publicity Secretary of the party, Dr. George Nkwoji, the party declared that it was an abomination to take wild dogs in the person of human beings to church, pointing out that it was sacrilegious to unleash same on a Priest while delivering sermons. APGA further described the attacks on the revered Archbishop as veritable evidence that the APC led government in Imo state is filled with vagabonds.

Though the Archbishop has declared that he was not touched by anyone, rather he was verbally assaulted, another APGA stalwart, Hon. Uche Onyeagucha described the attack as the height of impunity, brigandage and religious sacrilege.  Meanwhile, the government of Imo state had flayed the report, saying that it was unfounded. “We have as usual, read on the social media several versions of the purported beating or lynching or attacking or harassing of the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Diocese, Bishop Anthony Obinna allegedly by hoodlums or thugs or Entraco officials on the fictitious order of Chief Uche Nwosu, Chief of Staff, Government House. They noted that they would not respond to the issue until the Archbishop or the Catholic Church talks about it.
