The Chairman, Nkwerre Council of Traditional Institution and Community Policing and traditional ruler of Ishiala Umudi autonomous community, HRH Eze Joel Udenkwo (Eze Udo 1 of Ishiala Umudi) has identified the projects recently commissioned in the state by the President Tinubu as a testament to Governor Hope Uzodinma’s commitment to improving lives of Imo people.
Eze Udenkwo made the commendation in an interview with newsmen on the occasion of the presidential visit to Imo State and commissioning of projects executed by Governor Uzodinma by the president and launching of a book entitled “A Decade of Impactful Governance in Nigeria” written by the governor which took place last Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, EIICC, Owerri.
He expressed delight on the visit of the president to Imo State for project commissioning and launching of the book written by the governor, Sen Uzodinma, stressing that his visit was a remarkable boost to Imo State developmental agenda, while the governor’s transformative leadership style has changed the landscape of the state.
The royal father extolled the governor, Sen Uzodinma for his relentless efforts and effectiveness in deliveries positive results in the with his clear vision to leave lasting legacies at the end of his administration, pointing out that the governor’s policies are designed to benefit Imo people and his administration is working hard to ensure that the policies are implemented successfully.
He also appreciated the governor for his monumental projects in the state, adding that he deserves commendation for matching action with huge productivity and delivering quality and impressive projects that have transformed the state infrastructure.
Eze Udenkwo who is also the MD CEO of Udekings Electronics and Furniture Nig Ltd revealed that Governor Uzodinma’s focus on massive roads construction and rehabilitation, infrastructural development, educational enhancement, healthcare improvement, workers’ welfare improvement through prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and the state’s overall development is an indication of his selflessness and deep concern for the well-being of the people he is leading, noting that his good governance in the state has placed Imo high on the national map and has left an indelible mark in the history of the state, making Imo an envy of other states of the federation and expressed his confidence in the governor’s ability to deliver more result-oriented projects.
He disclosed that the book “A Decade of Impactful Governance in Nigeria” which showcased the achievements of the APC led federal government in the last ten years and was presented to the public portrays the governor as a master strategist, stressing that Imo people have not had it so good in infrastructural development and other dividends of democracy.
Eze Udenkwo maintained that Imo people are proud of Governor Uzodinma’s superlative performance and good governance, pointing out that the governor is laying foundation that will last beyond his tenure.
He also stated that the governor’s investment in projects that will not only meet present needs but anticipate future growth and described his government as the kind of leadership that transforms society.
The royal father prayed that when the tenure of Sen Uzodinma comes to an end, God will bless Imo people with another leader who would have the same vision, love, passion and courage to work for the people, noting that the governor’s achievements have given Imo people renewed pride and optimism.
The projects commissioned by President Tinubu include 52km Mbaise-Umuahia Road, the Control-Assumpta Twin Flyover, and the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, EIICC.
