Media executives in Imo state have been urged to collaborate with the new Owerri Leaders of Thought forum to give greater awareness to the good works of Gov Hope Odidika Uzodinma.
The members of Owerri Leaders Of Thought,a new political tonic in Owerri politics made the request at the weekend in a media parley with the publishers of state based tabloids.
The three Owerri Leaders who addressed the media icons included Chief Charles Amadi(Chalvon),Prince Alex Mbata(PAM) and Prince Henry NJoku (Haritex) who reiterated their support and loyalty to Gov Uzodinma as leader of their party,APC.
Speaking first Prince Mbata said they deemed it necessary to work with the media to promote the governor’s infrastructural development in the state.
He also said that as leaders they want constant awareness created about many feats of the governor including the choice of who become next guber candidate of the APC in the state.
He said they would support Governor’s choice from Owerri and work to deliver.
The Owerri Senatorial aspirant in 2023 election encouraged the Newspaper owners to give more attention to Uzodinma ‘s works in the state and create more awareness.
According to him it is their hope that the next Governor would come from Owerri Zone,even as he said they will support any body given to them by governor come 2027.
“We seek your collaboration in this regard as well.”
Reacting as well Chief NJoku, Haritex explained that the group is United in the Owerri bid to get a governor emerge from Owerri Zone and would support such choice of the governor.
In his speech also the zonal operational Leader , Chief Amadi,Chalvon explained that the Owerri leaders of the nine LGAs that make up the zone are in league with their quest to always support Gov Uzodinma.
He assured that they the capacity to drive home their desire for good governance after Uzodinma,for good of the people.
Chalvon further need for proper awareness bog the Owerri Leaders of Thought,saying henceforth they would ensure their activities are well published in the Media based in Imo state for greater.
The Leaders generally lauded the many efforts of the governor vis a vis what they described as his good governance in the state.
