Imo Guber: Anyanwu Faults Uzodinma’s Plan To Take 4,000 Imo Youths To Europe, Alleges It’s Scam

…Promises 10, 000 Job Imo Youths Job in First 100 Days in Office

The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the off season Governorship election in Imo state, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has faulted the alleged  deceitful assertion credited to Hope Uzodinma that he would take 4, 000 Imo youths to Europe and Canada for jobs, describing it as a big scam.

In contrast, Anyanwu promised to give 10, 000 Imo youths Jobs in his first 100 days in office, adding that instead of spending frivolous N6.5 million to facilitate the trip for each Imo youth to Europe and Canada to work as ‘slaves’, his government would prefer to engage them in sustainable jobs that would enable them to be self reliant.

He also urged Imo youths to remain steadfast, dedicated, positive and committed for the coming of a new government in the state, which according to him would be anchored on youth development, productivity and safety.

Addressing the coalition of Imo youths numbering over 10, 000 who paid him a solidarity visit at the Campaign office, along Okigwe road, Owerri, the state capital.

According to him, the current economic challenges occasioned by lingering insecurity in the state should not discourage the youths from pursuing a brighter future, but should motivate them to remain focused and resolute in the struggle for a safer and better Imo.

He blamed the high rate of insecurity in the state as a result of leadership failure and lack of positive direction by the present Hope Uzodinma  led APC administration to rescue and secure the state from total collapse owing to the fact that the present situation has overwhelmed him.

He said, “it’s by providing job opportunities and massively support the youths to start up businesses through grants, that the challenges of high level of insecurity and rising inflation will be taken care of.”

He regretted that in less than three and half years, over 1000 Imo youths have been killed for committing no crime, adding that his government would do everything possible including begging concerned none state actors to retrace with a view to allowing peace to reign in Imo state.
