Emmanuel College Owerri, Old Students  to constitute electoral commitee

The National President Emmanuel College, Owerri Old Students Association in Imo State Amb Jude Agbugba has made known the resolution of the college to constitute an electoral commitee that would conduct a credible election soon.
Amb. Agbugba made the disclosure in his office while speaking to journalists on the outcome of their meeting held at the college premises in Owerri where they discussed on the forthcoming election that would usher in new executives that would pilot the affairs of the association.
The National President disclosed that towards the expiration of his tenure, an interim management committee  led by Ogbokiri Uzochukwu was set up for one year term which elapsed  in march 2023 emphasizing, that no election was conducted but they rather succeeded in amending  the constitution.
He however, enjoined the stakeholders, old students to be present on the 24th of June as a lot of issues would be discussed for the welfare and development of their alma mater also, calls on the Commissioner for education, the Executive Secretary, Secondary Education Management Board (SEMB) to look into the administration of the college.
Still speaking, the National President however, reiterated that for the past one year, the association has done a lot for the school in terms of infrastructure among others and thereby, calls on the old boys to come back  under his watch  to salvage the battered situation of the school as well as ensure that the college is improved.
He reiterated that the association has  people that are in high position in government, traditional rulers, prominent men like lawyers, doctors, engineers among others that are doing well in their different professions and thereby advised that all hands should be on deck in order to return the college to its former glory.
