Tribunal: BVAS results INEC submitted from all 36 states show that Peter Obi won

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), according to Vanguard , provided the Presidential Elections Petitions Court with information on President Bola Tinubu on Thursday in order to certify his eligibility for the position of president. In addition, INEC revealed the results of the 36 state BVAS, which put Mr. Peter Obi in the lead.

In response to the court’s summons, the election arbiter gave INEC Chairman Yakubu Mahmoud Form EC9, which contained the President’s biodata.

The INEC’s choice to support Tinubu’s campaign is being contested by the People’s Democratic Party and Atiku Abubakar, who is the PDP’s presidential candidate in the election on February 25. Tinubu was put forth for president by the All Progressives Congress.

Mahmoud had been given a summons to appear in court today to present the documents that were needed to prove that Tinubu had been unjustly elected, the petitioners had earlier informed the court on Tuesday. These documents were needed to support the petitioners’ contention that Tinubu was selected unfairly.

At the conclusion of the hearing on the matter, the attorneys for LP and Atiku, Chris Uche (SAN), informed the court that the head of INEC had delivered part of the records requested by the subpoena through a deputy director of the commission, M.O.Tairu. Chris Uche is Senior Counsel for Nigeria.
