Ugo Morgan loses mother -Ochiora Uwandu

With deep regrets, but total submission to the will of God, the royal family of Uwandu in Idem Okwaraji of Umunneato-Ishi Ogwa, Mbaitoli LGA announces the passing on to eternal glory of their mother, Chief Ezinne Ochiora Janet Uwandu.
The Late Ezinne Ochiora Janet Uwandu, mother of Prince Ugo Morgan Uwandu who died after a brief illness last April, she was aged 87.


Ezinne Uwandu in her life time, was a prominent tobacco business woman in Aba, Abia State even before the Nigerian civil war before relocating to Owerri with her husband, Prince Morgan Obi Uwandu who was the proprietor of Victory Palace Hotel and also a frozen fish mogul, among other businesses.
A devout Christian of the Anglican Communion Faith, late Ezinne Ochiora Janet Uwandu was honoured with the Ezinne title and Zion Mother title, among others.
A prominent community leader, Ezinne Janet Ochiora Uwandu, was also the first woman to he recognized and honoured with a chieftaincy title by late HRH Eze EDN Uwandu of Umunneato Ishi Ogwa in Mbaitoli LGA.
The matron and chairlady of Ogwa women general meeting, Ezinne Uwandu was the founder of Ogwa women cultural dance group which earned her the name, Ochiora 1.
Ezinne Janet Ochiora Uwandu was survived by Prince Dr Obi Morgan Uwandu, Prince Azu Uwandu, Barr Chinyere Morgan Uwandu, among others.
