3 Proscribed IPOB Members Declared Wanted By FG 

Following the reported clash between a combined team of security agencies which comprised,the Army, Department Of State Security ,(DSS), Nigerian Police and Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) at Emene area of Enugu State, South East, Nigeria on August 23, 2020, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared the following persons: Mr Godwin Ikechukwu Beke, Simon Ejima Ibe and Chimezie Nnaji wanted due to their intense membership and activities.

 

Security agencies informed that Godwin Ikechukwu Beke,in particular and two others who have been accused of playing the pivotal roles of recruiting and training of new IPOB members have been marked and identified as a treat to the needed peace in the South East and unity of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

 

The said Godwin Ikechukwu Beke is reported to be a native of Eziama in Nkwerre Local Government Area, Orlu Zone, Imo State, Nigeria.

 

A security source also hinted that himself and the two others were among those who escaped with injuries after a combined team of Security forces stormed their meeting venue at Emene in Enugu state on August 23, where a lot of the IPOB members where said to have been neutralized.

 

In a statement issued to newsmen by the Joint Security Forces , the said Godwin Ikechukwu Beke, who is also alleged to be a Chieftain and ring-leader of the group in his area with the two other suspects have been at large since the Emene debacle with the security agencies in Enugu State.

 

It has been revealed that the Federal Government has requested any person with useful information to report to any Security Agency nearest to them for the immediate arrest and prosecution of the wanted IPOB members.
