There was joy and jubilation among primary school pupils and secondary school students in Owerre Nkwoji Community in Nkwerre LGA ,Imo state as a non-governmental organisation, The Nnodim Education Foundation donated free quality school bags, exercise books, pens and pencils to over 200 students.
The Catholic priest of St Thomas Aquinas Parish, Owerre Nkwoji, Rev.Fr. Jude Thaddeus Erigha commended the donor and Founder of The Nnodim Education Foundation, Mrs Loretta Nwafor, for establishing the NGO in memory of her late father, Mr Emmanuel Nnodim Alaoma who he said was a foremost educationist.
He disclosed that the late, Mr Emma Alaoma loved and cherished education and as a renowned teacher and school administrator impacted positively in the educational development of our people, adding that The Nnodim Education Foundation would go a long way to immortalise his name through the promotion of education which he cherished so much.
Rev. Fr Erigha admonished the students beneficiaries of the educational materials to endeavour to make good use of the materials given to them and take their studies seriously as education is the basic key to success in life.
It was gathered that the Founder of the NGO, Mrs Loretta Nwafor, a chartered accountant based abroad, intends to use The Nnodim Education Foundation established in memory of her father to promote education and assist the indigent scholars at all levels.
