The Imo State House of Assembly has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodinma following his recent appointment as Director General of Renewed Hope Ambassador by President Bola Ahmed Tinibu.
The House maintained that before now, the Governor has distinguished himself as a political icon and a detribalized politician with recognitions across the nation.
The resolve to congratulate the Governor emanated from the motion moved by the member representing Oru East State Constituency, Chigozie Nwaneri.
Presenting the motion before the floor of the House, Nwaneri noted that the recent appointment of Uzodinma by the president followed what he described as the Governor’s monumental achievements in different sectors including education, road infrastructure, human capital Developments and grassroots development.
He pointed out that despite the numerous awards and accolades from home and in diaspora ,Uzodinma is not still relenting on his efforts in forging new frontiers and winning more people into the APC fold both in the State and Nigeria in general.
” Mention must be made of his achievements not only as the Governor of the State, but also as Chairman Southeast Governors forum as well as Chairman Progressive Governors forum in which capacities he has distinguished himself as Bridge Builder, a Unifier, A Progressive and a Detribalized politician of note”he said.
The Oru East representative, informed that the recent appointment of Uzodinma by Mr President
is also testament of the Governor’s administrative qualities.
He described the appointment as a befitting one and urged the House to formerly Congratulate the Governor.
Nwaneri maintained that Uzodinma will leverage on the recent appointment to attract federal presence in the State.
The lawmakers, after much deliberation on the motion resolved to congratulate Uzodinma also urged him not to relent in using the recent appointment to unify the Country and bring to limelight the achievements of APC led administration of Mr President towards National Integration and Development.
