…Urge Imo Gov to abolish Illegal motorpark there.
Concerned Imo citizens have cried out against the continued use of spaces under the newly constructed overhead bridge popularly called flyover around Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri.
The Concerned Citizens expressed concern that the existence of illegal motor parks around the ready-to-be commissioned project executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma administration, “threatens to undermine the projects success.”
They further noted that: “despite its potential to ease traffic congestion and improve the area’s aesthetic, the flyovers underpass has been hijacked by illegal motor parks, with vehicles already using the space as a loading zone.”
According to them, “This development poses a significant challenge to Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration.”
They therefore urged the Governor to take immediate steps to abolish the illegal motor parks under the newly constructed Assumpta flyover, designate proper parking spaces and enforce traffic laws thereby making the project a source of pride to Imo State.
