Nov 11 Imo Guber Election:  Ukaegbu, Poised For Massive Campaign Under Labour Party

…Flags off crusade Saturday

All is now set for Imo Labour Party’s (LP) strong man and authentic  candidate for the November 11, 2023 Imo state governorship election, Chief Joseph Ikechukwu Ukaegbu (Ikenga) to  flag off electioneering campaign for the realisation of his governorship ambition under the banner of the party (LP) tomorrow, Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Owerri, the state capital.

According to Joseph Ikechukwu Ukaegbu Campaign Organization, IMO SOLUTION, the guber campaign flag off which leverages on a Supreme Court ruling stopping Senator Athan Achonu of the Labour Party from parading himself as candidate of the party for the November 11 Imo state governorship election.

The campaign organisation further, recalled that the Supreme Court in its landmark ruling, declared Apapa as the authentic National Chairman of the party and thus, dismantling all  election primaries conducted by self-imposed National Chairman of the party, David Abure.

The Joseph Ukaegbu Campaign machinery disclosed that already, there have been vigorous and intensive campaigns at  grassroots level for massive votes for Joseph Ukaegbu on November 11.

On the issue of late flag off of his electioneering campaign at the state level, the LP strong man, Ukaegbu Joseph posited, ” we have never stopped reaching out and talking to the good, wise and peace-loving people of Imo state particularly, at the grassroots level. We are well aware that it is at the grassroots level that we have majority of our people. This is why my administration by the grace of the Almighty God, will be grassroots-based, meaning that I will invest Imo people’s money more in the rural areas than in the cities. Again, the  fact that despite High Court, Appeal Court and the apex (Supreme) Court rulings, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) decided to exercise undue delay in replacing Athan Achonu’s name with my name, is a situation that calls for serious question.   INEC should define its interest in the whole thing because, already, Imo people are worried. Certainly, the people, the masses are not happy with the electoral body which ordinarily, should be unbiased. In my own case, INEC which has the duty of conducting free and fair election has not been fair to me. Imolites are aware of it and, the whole world is aware of it too. INEC made impossible for me to flag off my campaigns early enough. I am yet to see a level playing ground under which a serious election at this level ought to be conducted. The electoral body should not continue to shoot itself at the leg because, a time for explanations will surely, come. However, I remain the darling of Imo people and the very candidate to be beaten on November 11, 2023″,  Ukaegbu Joseph, the Imo  LP authentic governorship candidate asserted bluntly.
