Alleged Alliance with Okorocha: Uzodinma Afraid Of Senator Anyanwu’s Popularity

…Plans to Make Imo Safe, Sealed Deal

Hope Uzodinma and his APC government in Imo state are afraid of the rising popularity of the Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu and his plans to make Imo the safest and freest state, East of the Niger.

To achieve this, business communities, stakeholders, leaders, artisans, market women, youths and political juggernauts in the state are showing reasonable interest to join the PDP candidate, Senator Anyanwu to return the lost glory of the state.

In few weeks from now, more critical political stakeholders in APC, Labour Party, Action Alliance and others will collapse into PDP to be able to oust this vicious Hope Uzodinma’s administration in the state. Senator Anyanwu’s plans to make Imo Safe again is indeed, a sealed deal

Tracing back to history since the creation of the state, Imo has remained a peaceful and hospitable state where investors and foreigners come for relaxation and business ventures.

Our people started witnessing pockets of insecurity immediately the apex Court delivered the most controversial judgement and declared Hope Uzodinma as the Governor of Imo State. His only mission since he was imposed is to make the state more insecured when he went after his perceived political rivals by unleashing his reported militia killer group against his targets.

No wonder, a Human Rights Organization, Inter Society in Enugu during its Press Conference indicted Gov Uzodinma’s administration where they reported that over 1,600 unarmed Imo citizens were killed, 400 disappeared in 29 months.

It is truism that investors as well as Imo indigenes are now relocating to neighbouring states for safety. Imolites cannot continue to live in fear; therefore, Uzodinma must be voted out in the November 11 Governorship election.

One thing is sacrosanct in life that one cannot give what he does not have. Hope Uzodinma, as Governor of Imo State is so embarrassing, belittling and a huge joke taken too far. This is a man without any trace of academic qualification. To be realistic, Uzodinma is very much aware that he parades fake identity that does not depict his position as Governor of a State

To put the records straight, on Sunday 18th, June 2023, Senator Anyanwu turned 58 years on earth. As part of programmes to celebrate God’s unusual grace upon his life; his siblings, friends, business partners and political associates organized a mega birthday party for him where individuals from all walks of life were invited.

Among those invited was a former Governor of the state, Senator Rochas Okorocha who also honoured the invitation like others. As one of the critical stakeholders in the state, at the tail end of the event, he requested to address the people and the request was obliged.

While addressing them, Senator Okorocha expressed bitterness that Imo state he left peacefully few years ago has become a thearter of war, and attributed it to leadership failure and incompetence. The former Governor also acknowledged the capacity of the celebrant, and PDP Governorship Candidate, Senator Anyanwu to secure Imo state from the grip of killings occasioned by insecurity having functioned as House of Assembly member during his administration as Governor. Okorocha further described the PDP candidate as not only a capacity filled vibrant young man but a man with a free mind.

Senator Okorocha also observed that the ongoing insecurity in the state has overwhelmed the government of Hope Uzodinma, and therefore poses serious threat and grave danger to Imo people; hence promised to convene a special meeting with select critical leaders for the purposes of unraveling the scourge

Little did we know that such harmless and genuine statement from the former Governor, Senator Okorocha would irke Hope Uzodinma and his government. A situation where the present administration of Uzodinma has made our party standard bearer, Senator Anyanwu an object of campaign of calumny with continued accusations, harassment and blackmails on daily basis is an indication that his regime has lost ideas and direction.

It therefore becomes very surprising to everyone when and how such open confession of someone’s capacity to secure a people in the state amount to “unholy alliance”? We can only advise Uzodinma and his insensitive government to stop displaying obvious incompetence and crude rascality to every statement coming from any leader in the state simply because, the 3R administration is confused and struggling to be relevant in the minds of Imo people after several years of sheer neglect.

We are also aware that what Uzodinma and his administration are doing is to peddle fake and inexistent allegation in order to divert attention of Imo people from demanding the whereabout of over N30 billion the immediate past administration of Muhammadu Buhari reimbursed the state for undertaking two federal roads; Orlu and Okigwe roads respectively. This money as we gathered is kept in a private account by Uzodinma for the November election.

Another credible information obtained revealed that Uzodinma is afraid of defeat in the November 11 Governorship election, hence resorted to recruiting thugs and stationing them within Ihube, Lopka ukwu/nta Okigwe, Orsu, Oru East, Oru West, Oguta, Ohaji Egbema, Orlu, Ngor Okpala, Ehime Mbano, Obowo, and some part of Mbaise axis to unleash mayhem on Imo people in order to attract Federal Government attention to release more billions to the state.

For the last time, Uzodinma and his government should stop twisting facts in order to mislead the unsuspecting public. It is only a government bereft of ideas that will suddenly assume that an attendance to a birthday event could amount to forming alliance with anyone to undermine the state.

While Imo people are aware that no Court whatsoever has convicted the former Governor for any wrong doing, nor indicted by any government Whitepaper five years after his exit as Governor, until that is done, the PDP Governorship Candidate will not shy away from relating with his political friends, associates and colleagues at the Senate.
