Imo State Labour Party governorship aspirant, Barr. Chief Humphrey Anumudu is dead.

National Newsblast Newspaper investigations revealed that Anumudu who donated 27 Toyota Sienna SUV vehicles to the party in January, attended the meeting of the National Working Committee, governorship aspirants and stakeholders of the party in Abuja on Thursday, 23rd March, 2023.

He had to rush to Lagos the next day, Friday, to collect vital documents needed for the governorship primaries billed for April 15th, 2023.

When National Newsblast contacted his aide, Mr. Godson Anumudu who delivered the vehicles to the party for clarifications, he confirmed the shocking news, saying, “It is unfortunate. He had to rush to Lagos from the Abuja meeting to collect an important document. I spoke with him on Friday night  around 11pm only to hear that he died on Saturday”

It would be recalled that Anumudu contested in the 2019 governorishp election on the platform of Zenith Labour Party and won sixth position  behind former governor, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim who came fifth.

Anumudu’s late billionaire brother, Chief Willie Anumudu, founder of Globe Motors Limited,   established Hyundai Higer Auto Assembly plant in Lagos.

The deceased was the highest donor to Imo State Labour Party followed by Sen. Athan Achonu, Ochoudo Martin Agbaso, Dr. Libo Agwara and Dr. T.J. Ehirim.
