Imo Assembly: Onyemaobi promises better future for Oguta

A frontline House of Assembly aspirant for Oguta state constituency under the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, Mr. Gerald Okechukwu Onyemaobi has reinstated his promise for a better future enshrined on from effective representation for all Oguta sons and daughters come 2019.
The state Assembly hopeful made the statement while marking the 2018 Democray Day Celebration in Owerri, the capital. During the occasion which took place on May 29, 2018, Mr. Onyemaobi said it is important to celebrate Nigeria as a united entity as well as the existence of a Democratic institution which he noted has come to stay in the country.
He however regretted that 19 years after the return of Democracy in Nigeria, the dividends are yet to be felt by Nigerians adding that those in positions of authority should see to it that Democratic dividends trickle down to their various wards.
If elected into office, he promised to use his position to ensure that whatever that is due for his people gets to them. He explained that one of the political realities of the contemporary global system today is Democracy, a political process which focuses on the imperatives of government ruling only by the people’s consent.
Mr. Okechukwu who hails from Ndionyeomaobi autonomous community in Egbuoma, Oguta LGA, Imo State maintained that Democracy has remained the only viable and sustainable option for tackling states and national backwardness stating that a strong Democratic foundation remains a pedestal for socio economic and political prosperity of any society.
