Tambuwal partners Nwachukwu on hospital development

 

Newly appointed Board Chairman of Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Kware, Sokoto State, Dr. Iheanyi Nwachukwu has paid a courtesy visit on to Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal.

Nwachukwu who was in the Sokoto to seat of power alongside members of the board commended Governor Tambuwal for his open-door and human-oriented policies in governance, adding that the governor has made governance in Sokoto State participatory and all-inclusive. He then thanked the governor for giving them audience despite his tight schedule and applauded him for assisting the Neuro-Psychiatric hospital in the state through the creation of different health related ministries and departments, via the creation of ministry of social welfare, state ministry of health and water commission.

According to him, these bodies have contributed immensely in offering quality health care services to people with mental challenges in the state and its environs. He said the states that have equally benefitted from the state good health policies include Kebbi and Zamfara, adding that even foreign continues like Niger, Benin and Republic of Bokina-faso have equally benefitted from it.

Dr. Nwachukwu went ahead to appeal to the governor to come to the assistance of the hospital in the following areas; construction of the perimeter fencing, solar borehole and a monthly imprest from the state government to assist them offset some of the basic needs of the hospital especially in the purchase of  diesel which is capital intensive.

The governor, in his response welcomed Dr. Nwachukwu and his entourage to the seat of the caliphate and congratulated him for his new appointment.

Governor Tambuwal informed the board that he has been earlier been briefed on some of the challenges being faced by the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital and is putting some things in place to assist them. He assured Dr. Nwachukwu of his undiluted support.

He expressed delight at the level of enthusiasm displayed by Dr. Nwachukwu to ensure that the hospital moves higher.
