Mbaitoli Pensioners Shower Encomium On Uzodinma

Pensioners in Mbaitoli Local Government Area have thanked the Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for ensuring regular payment of pensions and gratuities in the State since the inception of his administration.

Speaking at tiiis year’s Pensioners Day Celebration at the Mbaitoli Local Government Headquarters, Nwaorieubi, the chairman of Mbaitoli branch of the Nigeria Union of pensioners, Sir Dennis Nwaogu expressed appreciation to the governor, pointing out that since he commenced the payment of gratuities to pensioners, Imo retirees have heaved a new lease of life while their health have improved tremendously, Sir Dennis recalled the inclusion of pensioners in the Health Insurance Scheme of the state government and prayed God to bless the Governor with good health and longevity and crown his administration with success.

The Mbaitoli L.G.A Pensioners chairman also commended the executive chairman of the Local Government, Chief Ifunaya Nwanegwo for ocasionally hosting pensioners in the area to rousing parties to give them sense of appreciation and love.

He pleaded with the State Government to fast-track action on the inclusion of new pensioners in the scheme of things to ensure that they also heave a sigh of relief.

The celebration of 2025 world pensioners Day penultimate Saturday, at the Nwaorieubi Council headquarters, featured match pass by pensioners from different wards, feasting and the presentation of awards to friends and well-wishers of pensioners in the LGA.
