…Visits Nigeria Newspoint office for partnership

The Leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Owerri Municipal Council chapter has paid a familiarization visit to Nigeria Newspoint seeking partnership with the media outfit.
The group led by its LGA Chairman, Comrade Chinedu Mbah who said that the reason behind the visit is in recognition of the Newspaper’ outstanding status in the business of dissemination of information to the public.
He maintained that the media outfit is one of the leading tabloids with wider outreach in terms of information sharing hence the need for the party at the LGA level to identify with it.
The ADC Owerri Municipal Chairman asserted that the party has numerous activities being lined out in its resolve to form a formidable political force that will displace the ruling party in the LGA, State and at the national levels.
“Because of this, we are here today to identify with you in the area of media partnership in order to give action and louder awareness in our political engagement.
” ADC Owerri Municipal, is intact and strong in its determination to get a solid grassroots structure in the process of getting prepared for future political contest especially come, 2027 electoral contest.”
He hinted that the party at the LGA level has recently done its harmonization exercise where every group from different States across the Federation identified with the party.
According to him, the groups include, Hausa, Akwa Ibom, Yoruba, Ebonyi, Anambra communities not excluding political blocks from APC, APGA, PDP, LP and others who he said have decided to join the party because of its futuristic ideology.
Mbah also used the moment to announce the first general meeting of the party coming up on Saturday, October 4 as he enjoined party members to endeavor to attend the meeting.
In his speech, the representative of the party at the State level, Engr.Ephraim Ibe said that in any democratic setup ,there must be a political alternative that can replace non performing Government and offer credible leadership.
He said that the current administration both in the State and at the national level have failed to deliver on the mandate given to them as citizens are yearning for change of leadership which he maintained that ADC is ready to offer.
Ibe observed that the cause of political leadership failure is because majority of the people who are in politics see it as an avenue for self enrichment not to serve.
“Most Nigerian politicians cannot boast of personal achievements outside politics, all their life investment is in politics and they go extra miles to perpetuate themselves in office against the will of the electorate.
” ADC is coming to change the narratives and ensure that credible leadership is offered to the people,” he assured.
They used the moment, to felicitate with Nigerians on the occasion of the 65 years independence anniversary irrespective of the current economic hardship pervading the nation.
The party, also paid allegiance to its national leadership led by Senator David Mark, the Vice Chairman South-East, Sir Bon Unachukwu , Owerri zonal chairman, Hon.Ben Mere and its State Chairman, Prof.James Okoroma.
ADC Owerri Municipal, also expressed gratitude to other leaders for their contribution towards the progress of the party at the LGA level, which include, Chief Frank Atulegwu,Hon.Azubuike Nze, Hon.Ephraim Ibe and others.
In its response, Publisher and Editor in Chief of the media outfit, Elder Lambert Ojukwu, represented by a senior reporter ,Williams Odunze, thanked them for coming to identify with the company and promised to partner with them in all their political activities.
In attendance were, Executive Members from both LGA and Ward level.
