Monarch of Amauju Kingdom in Isu LGA of Imo State HRH Eze P. O Duru has revered the Oracles of the land.
In the 2025 New Yam Festival of his Kingdom, Eze Duru poured his heart before God for giving his people the opportunity to feast on the New Yam in the yearly cultural event observed in Igboland.
He noted that JI or Ahiajioku (Yam) has an age-long history of being the King of Arable Crops that is cultivated and celebrated with dignity and Funfare.
Further in his Awa Speech Eze Duru called for more involvement in Agriculture, even at individual family subsistence level, as he charged authorities in charge of Agriculture to subsidise Agro inputs to enable farmers add more efforts in helping to beef up the National Food Security.
President General of Amauju Town Union Mr Anayo Amaefule had earlier in his address charged the citizens of the town to think more of bringing fortunes home, describing Amauju as the Niche of all, and the final bus stop.
The Prince Paul Nnadi Chaired Iri Ji Festival was wrapped up with Okorosha Cultural Dance under a Clement weather condition.
