…Lauds Uzodinma’s health initiatives
The founder of Nkwa Chikwere Foundation, Dr Chijioke Kaduru, has promised that he would not only continue to empower people of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, through his foundation, but also is planning to extend the economic supports offered by the foundation, to the other eight local government areas of Owerri zone.
Dr Kaduru made the revelation known last Sunday in his hometown of Umuwaoma Obiangwu, Ngor Okpala LGA, while speaking with newsmen, shortly after a mammoth crowd of APC members, accorded him a heroic welcome on his arrival to the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, following a month long fruitful economic mission abroad.
According to the public health expert with global reputation, Nkwachikwere Foundation was founded for the purpose of being a vehicle to lift people out of poverty and joblessness, through the provision of financial and material support, aimed at helping business people sustain their businesses, and also help those with vocational skills to practice the skills they have learnt.
He stressed that as long as the objective was being achieved and God Almighty keeps providing him with the resources to continue to touch lives positively, he would continue to empower the people of the LGA, while also planning to extend the gesture to the other local government areas of the zone.
He noted that he has already started taking steps towards making the vision to extend the opportunities offered by the foundation, to communities and peoples in the remaining eight
local government areas of the zone a reality, and expressed the hope that his plans in this regard would soon manifest.
The globally celebrated public health expert, who has contributed to the transformation of public health system, in Nigeria, and over a dozen other African countries, also commend Gov Hope Uzodinma’s commitment to transforming the state’s healthcare system, through various initiatives.
He particularly praised the governor’s efforts and attendant significant achievements in his health insurance policy, and the restoration of the state’s primary healthcare system.
Dr Kaduru opined that the great job the governor was doing in the health sector, especially in the aforementioned areas, was one of the things that inspired him, to start investing in the sector, pointing out that he has already delivered a world class primary healthcare centre for his Obiangwu Community.
He disclosed that plans are already in top gear for the hand over of the facility to the government for management, even as he highlighted his burning desire to replicate what he did in his community in some other communities in the zone.
