Renovation of Imo Assembly Complex: Speaker hails Imo Gov, welcomes Buhari

The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Kennedy Ibeh has commended the Governor of Imo State Senator Hope Uzodinma for the Renovation of the Imo State House of Assembly Complex,describing him as a man of honour even as he welcomed President ,Muhammadu Buhari to the state.

Speaking with House of Assembly Correspondents and other Journalists at his office, the Speaker applauded   the  Governor for his immediate response to the rescue of the Complex which was at the brink of collapsing.

The  Speaker, maintained that despite the meagre resources that is coming to the State that the Governor was able to lift the Complex from the dungeon to an international standard.

He noted that the newly renovated Assembly complex equipped with ultra modern facilities and  electronic gadgets, now ranks amongst the best parliaments in the whole world.

“Today,we have been beaqueathed with a beffiting complex that is up to International standard fully equipped with all parliamentarian out fits.So, we thank the Governor for coming to our rescue,”he said.

Rt.Hon.Ibeh also pointed out that, Governor Uzodinma has demonstrated that he has not come to play to the gallery but has come to work so as to deliver dividends of democracy to Imo people through landmark and people-oriented projects.

He observed that the  governor has actually leaved up to his name, “Uzodinma”, by bequeathing to Imolites good roads and other people oriented projects  under his watch.

The Speaker, also described the visit of Mr. President to Imo State as a mark of cordial relationship that exists between the State and the presidency.

Lawmakers Present during the press briefing were the deputy Speaker,Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Majority Leader, Kanayo Onyemaechi, Hon. Uju Onwudiwe, Hon. Ngozi Obiefula and Hon. Brr. Dominic Ezerioha and others.
