Group Uncovers Plot By Ihedioha’s Supporters To Create Crisis In Imo PDP

…Party chieftains: We’ve Rejected Him -Party Chieftains

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Monitors in Imo State have uncovered plot by the ousted short-lived Governor of the state, Chief Emeka Ihedioha and his supporters to create crisis in the party and heap the blames on the National Secretary of the PDP who hails from the state.

The party chieftains maintained their total rejection of Ihedioha in 2023, warning that any attempt to foist him again on PDP in the state will be highly resisted.

The group, PDP Monitors, made up of genuine party members, stakeholders and critical leaders across the state are canvassing for equity, justice and fairness within the party in the state ahead of the 2023 elections.

Coordinator of the group, Barr Aloy Nzeribe, KSJI disclosed this weekend in a chat with select Journalists in Owerri, the capital of Imo state.

He said that Ihedioha and supporters are busy compiling list of party members, terrorizing leaders and stakeholders condemning his third term Governorship bid to be dealt with before the 2023 elections, adding that those hired to execute the heinous act had commenced operation.

Bar Nzeribe disclosed that, the idea behind the hounding of party members was to scare anyone opposed to his ambition away from the party in order to pave room for his cronies and stooges who almost destroyed PDP in the state.

According to him, in their bid to throw PDP into another crisis, Ihedioha recruited known characters and hatchet writers to continuously dish out blackmailing contents against leaders of the party in order to present a picture that PDP is enmeshed in serious crisis in Imo state. “His interest is to ditch the National Secretary, who hails from Imo state with his colleagues.”

He said that Ihedioha’s actions were unconnected with the unbiased calls by party members and leaders to jettison his third term Governorship ambition, pointing out that his desperation was capable of making PDP lose elections in 2023.

The Coordinator expressed dismay how Ihedioha failed in 2015 and 2019 after he was elected Governor, and wondered the magic he would adopt again to defeat the APC government having lost two times.

He suggested the need to present a fresh candidate that can unify members if the PDP was sincerely ready to oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
