Ex-Imo SSG calls for end to extra judicial killings

In a Facebook post, Ejiogu who also served as chief of staff to former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, described as heartbreaking that the only reason for the summary execution of the youths was keeping late nights.

He condoled with the families whose loved ones who have died untimely in recent times and prayed for the repose of their souls.

He noted that the times are perilous but expressed hope that the darkness hovering over Imo State would soon disappear. Ejiogu urged residents to exercise caution by refraining from keeping late nights.

He said: “Whenever I come online these days, I see so many saddening stories of things happening in our state.

“Our young ones killed for no reason whatever other than being out late at night. It’s heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the families of the bereaved

“We live in a perilous time and for the safety of you and I, I urge everyone to be very security conscious. Please, as best as you can, avoid late night movements.

“Try and round off your affairs before it is dark and always comply with security operatives wherever you see them whether during the day or night.

“Let’s stay alive first, rather than looking for who to blame or whose right it was or not.”
