Inyishi PDP welcomes Akuatuegwu

The sleepy community of Inyishi was agog on Easter Sunday as the entire top notchers of Peoples Democratic Party and faithful of Inyishi- Umudim Ikeduru Ward heartily welcome one of their own, Chief Kingsley Nwachukwu.

Nwachukwu, popularly called Akuatuegwu’s welcome took place at his exotic home at Ohaohia, Inyishi. Apart from party stalwarts, it also played host to crème-da-la-crème from different walks of life in and outside the state.

Speaking at the occasion, Nwachukwu expressed his great interest to identity politically with his people. He stated that he was a passive PDP member in Lagos, where he resides.

He said, “I promise to use my vantage position to ensure that whatever that is due to my ward will be given to my people. I also pledge my unalloyed support and loyalty to the party and its hierarchy.”

He further said that he was overwhelmed by the show of love from his people and assumed that as a bona fide son of Inyishi and grass root politician that he would ensure that candidates of the party excel in the forthcoming 2019 elections.

“We shall galvanize support for the party candidates especially Senator Samuel Anyanwu for Owerri Zone, who has distinguished himself at the Upper Legislature Arm of Government”, Akuatuegwu buttressed.

He decreed the high rate of marginalization in the state and contended that it is only Senator Anyanwu that has the magic wand to right all the wrongs in the state.

In his welcome address, the PDP Chairman of Inyishi Umudim ward, Ezinna Samuel Akubuiro eulogized Nwachukwu for the gesture, describing him as a credible personality.

“Akuatuegwu is the only one that has distinguished himself through philanthropic gestures in the church and society at large”.

High point of his speech was announcing him (Nwachukwu) as the Apex Leader of the Party in the ward.

In the same development, the Youth leader of the ward, Hon. Emma Onumajuru extolled the virtues of Nwachukwu, also describing him as the rallying point for the haves and have-nots in the area.

He finally congratulated Akuatuegwu on his elevation as an Apex Leader. “Nwachukwu’s elevation to the position of an Apex Leader is as a step in a right direction”, Onumajuru added.
