Imo Commissioner for works and Director General Women for Rochas-6 Geopolitical regions, Hon.Chief Mrs Josephine Udoji has declared that the overwhelming support received by frontline gubernatorial aspirant Ugwumba Uche Nwosu at the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting, is an indication of a first-round victory for the Imo chief of staff. According to Udoji, the massive turn-out of supporters who came in solidarity with Uche Nwosu to the meeting is testament of what will become of the final outcome of the Party’s ticket ahead of the 2019 general elections. In her words “The endorsement of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu by 25 out of 27 LGA chairmen, his endorsement by over 20 lawmakers of the Imo State House of Assembly, the overwhelming endorsements from both youths and women groups including women for Rochas-6 geopolitical regions show that the youthful chief of staff has already carried the day and can be said to have won round one of the race”.Udoji said. She added that “the massive support already enjoyed by Uche Nwosu across the State has already swallowed up the Party, leaving nothing remaining for any other aspirant under the Party” Udoji concluded.
