Ahiazu APC Chairmanship Saga: Okorocha disgraces Onwuegbule at Govt House

Attempts by former transition committee chairman of Ahiazu Mbaise LGA to snuggle himself back to the seat of APC chairman in the Council has crashed following the disgraceful treatment meted to him by Gov Rochas Okorocha on Wednesday at government house.
Mr Onwuegbule sources at the meeting where Ahiazu Mbaise APC endorsed Okorocha’s in laws guber ambition had attempted to speak as the chairman of the party in the Council but was stopped by the governor who reportedly told him point blank that he is not the chairman.
Okorocha our correspondent gathered had told him before party faithful from the Council that:” You are not the chairman Mr Onwuegbule. We told you when you wanted to take up appointment that you will lose your chairmanship and you agreed. So you cant become chairman after that. This man here, referring to Mr Ifeanyi Ekeh is the acting chairman of the party in Ahiazu Mbaise”
The governor’s pronouncement was said to have been heavily applauded and greeted with wild jubilation party members to shame and embrassment of. Mr Onwuegbule and his camp allegedly headed by Mr Chidi Ibe former Commissioner for information and Strategy.
It can be recalled that Mr Ibe’s camp and another camp said to be lead by Chief Emmanuel Ojinere Commissioner for Industry and Chief Aductus Onuoha, another notable leader in the Council have been struggling for the soul of the party for almost two years now.
Both camps have stuck to their guns with the Ibe group refusing to give in even after the state party chairman Chief Hilary Ekeh and his executive had handed over the party flag to Mr Ekeh.
However, with what happened on Wednesday the Ibe camp seems to have finally lost the battle and left with no other option if serious about staying in APC than  joining  the winning team.
Reacting to the development shortly after the drama that played out at Sam Mbakwe exco chamber in government house, Chief Onuoha described Mr Ekeh triumph as victory of justice over injustice and lauded the governor for standing firm for the truth.
But, told the Mr Ekeh led executive to seriously discipline the erring Mr Onwuegbule even as he suggested his sacking so as to purge the party of his recalcitrance and also warning  signal to others that maybe contemplating  toing his footsteps in the future
