The five-day Owerri Citywide Crusade of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Imo South, came to a glorious conclusion on Sunday as worshippers departed the venue jubilating and basking in what many described as an overwhelming outpouring of God’s goodness.
The open-air programme, which held at Owerri City Primary School, Wetheral Road, witnessed a conducive atmosphere throughout its duration, even as participants testified that the crusade was marked by showers of blessings, soul-lifting sermons, inspiring music ministrations, and what many called a “rain of miracles.”
Worshippers said they were soaked and saturated with divine impartation and teachings that rekindled hope, strengthened faith, and revived their commitment to God.
The State Overseer of the Ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Okoro, rounded off the event with a message titled “Believers’ Full Recovery and Restoration Through Christ,” a sermon that emphasized God’s power to heal, restore, and completely deliver His people.
The highlight of the final day was Pastor Okoro’s miracle prayer session and prophetic declarations for all participants, during which he prayed for peace to spread across the nation beginning from Imo State.
He further declared that killer herdsmen and other perpetrators of evil in the land would be put to flight and cast out so that peace and tranquility would reign in communities.
“I decree peace in the 27 local governments of Imo State. From today, all those herds people those doing evil pack your loads, begin to run out of Imo State, South East and Nigeria in Jesus name” pastor Okoro declared.
He further prayed “From today oh Lord, give our Governor his cabinet and those in authority the mind to work for peace embrace and maintain it. Help our royal fathers to become men of peace in their various places, to emulate and maintain peace in their communities.
Prepare religious leaders to preach peace across the entire state and let there be peace and prosperity in every families”.
The cleric also offered special prayers for the protection of Imo State leaders, beginning with the governor, and asked God to give them the heart to pursue peace, unity, and good governance for the benefit of all residents.
The crusade, tagged “Great Redemption, Recovery, and Restoration through Jesus Christ,” began on Wednesday and combined gospel evangelism with a free medical outreach that provided healthcare services including check-ups, screenings, consultations, and medications.
Organisers earlier explained that the programme featured anointed messages, revival prayers, worship sessions led by gospel artiste Israel Anyaele, testimonies, and deliverances while daily activities such as the Lunch Hour with Jesus and Evening Revival Services created a continuous atmosphere of renewal and fellowship.
The church described the just-concluded campaign as both a spiritual and humanitarian intervention designed to heal the land, restore hope, and draw men and women closer to God.
