Anyanwu-Akeredolu: BRECAN, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Foundation Host Prostate Cancer Symposium In Ibadan, Nov 25

All roads will lead to Ibadan, Oyo State, as a Non Governmental Organisation, BRECAN, founded by ex-Ondo State first lady, Dr Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, and the Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Foundation, organise Prostate Cancer Symposium with the theme: “Prostate Cancer; Early Detection, Timely Action, Saving Men’s Lives.”

A release from the organisers indicates that  the venue of the event is the Lagos Hall, Ibadan Business School, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria,in the morning hours.

The release further indicates that there will be a keynote address and panel discussions on “Prostate Cancer in Nigeria, Confronting the Silence, Changing Narratives.”

The founder of BRECAN, Her Excellency Dr  Anyanwu-Akeredolu,  will be the chief host

The chairman of the occasion will be Mr Walter Akpani, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Globus Bank.

Professor Abidemi Omonisi, president and chief executive officer, Cancer Society of Nigeria, CSN, will be the special guest of honour.

While the keynote speaker is Dr S.A Adebayo of the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

Moderators include: Professor Femi Ogunbiyi and Dr Foluke Saramiye, both from the University College Hospital,  Ibadan.

Panellists include Dr Abbas Abdus- Salam and Dr Akinwale, both from the UCH Ibadan; Lifestyle Medicine Physician, Dr Teniola Akeredolu-Micheals, Funke Jayesimi, the country manager, Johnson and Johnson Innovative Medicine, Mary Akangbe, president and chief executive officer, Zenith Global Health, and Promise Ihezie, COO of BRECAN.
