Ihekweme  Donates N.5m,  Supports Imo NUJ Workstation 

A former commissioner in Imo State, Dr Fabian Ihekweme has donated the sum of N500,000 to support the workstation project embarked upon by the Comrade Precious Nwadike-led Imo State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

Recall that Dr Ihekweme has been in the forefront of the advocacy for transparency, accountability and good governance, which has also earned him applause from  Nigerians and Imolites in particular.

Imo NUJ recently launched its workstation project designed to facilitate and enhance the activities of media practitioners as well as journalism practice in the state.

The workstation is also expected to generate income for the union as well as serve as facility for IT training among others.

Reacting,the  NUJ Chairman,Comr Nwadike lauded the donor and urged other well meaning persons in the state to also support Imo NUJ to give professionalism to their members.

He made it clear that the ex-commissioner ‘s donation is highly appreciated and would help development of journalists in the state.
