…Sets up JAMB CBT center, scholarship. to over 50 Amaimo Indigene
Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has donated plots of lands for the construction of Computer Based Test Center for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and a digital computer learning center to Amaimo Progressive Forum as part of contributions for the development of the community.
Also, Anyanwu constructed a four bedroom bungalow, and offered monetary assistance for the construction of Amaimo Progressive Forum Secretariat and youths empowerment valued over N100 million respectively in a bid to create a modern opportunity for the people of the communuty.
Addressing members of the forum who paid him an Easter visit on Monday, Senator Anyanwu, also the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party said that the plot of lands donated would house a world class oil meal, police station with the provision of additional modern security gadgets and over 10 computers aimed at providing information gathering and protecting the people.
According to him, aside from the lands, building, computers and security gadgets, he disclosed that over 50 Amaimo indigenes are currently enjoying his full scholarship in various tertiary institutions in the country, with others benefiting from his bursary allowances.
Senator Anyanwu known for genuine philanthropy further promised to rehabilitate the general hospital in Amaimo, Ikeduru LGA built by the federal government but abandoned by successive administrations in the state.
Speaking during a thank you visit, President of the forum, Hon Nnamdi Iheoma thanked Senator Anyanwu for making the organization proud and assured him of their readiness to reciprocate the gesture anytime their supports were needed.
According to him, an erstwhile PDP candidate for the Ikeduru LGA Chairmanship candidate in the last Imo LGA election, “Senator Anyanwu has demonstrated high level of patriotism showing the level of love he has for the citizens.”
In a letter signed by the Secretary of the forum, Chief Uwa Edward Emeka and obtained by newsmen, the forum expressed its deepest appreciation for Senator Anyanwu’s incredible generous donations, adding that such assistance was a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to the development of the society.
Chief Uwa further maintained that the lands donated would provide a valuable asset for the organization by enabling them to establish a befitting Secretariat, CBT center for JAMB examination, a digital computer learning center, as well as expand the forum’s programmes in line with their vision for development.
Adding his voice, former President General of the Forum, Sir Ugo Ashiegbu, and Nze Chima Ejiogu respectively expressed gratitude to Senator Anyanwu, assuring him that the forum would do everything possible to put good use of the items offered to them.
The duo further called on other leaders in the community and by extension, Ikeduru local government to emulate the generosity of Senator Anyanwu for societal development, adding that the act showes that the National Secretary of PDP believes that charity begins at home.
