We are all witnesses to how we arrived here.
It is presumed the Elections witnessed grave malpractices.
As at today a President has been sworn in and what is certain is that the ship of State has set sail.
Major decisions have been made by the President and this has far reaching consequences on the Economy, Security architecture and governance in general.
The Election Tribunal is at work with a lot of emotions by bystanders.
However what is certain is that the outcome would not be decided by mere emotions.
It is important to state at this time for us to understand that our standing as IGBO’s in Nigeria has been quite unfortunate and we have continuously been treated like second class citizens in our own Country. This is quite unfortunate.
Worst still is that our Leadership and representatives have not helped matters.
At a point in our trajectory we had the Senate President but shamefully so we were humiliated out of office with the constant change of the Senate President.
Fast forward to the possible outcome of the Election Tribunal case. What if the Tribunal declares a re-run for the First & Second candidate, where does that leave us?
What if the Court cancels the Presidential Election in strongholds of APC (Southwest, North West and South South) and declares a new poll?
The bare truth of the matter is whatever Election to be conducted by this same INEC would never be Free and Fair.
Secondly can’t we see that the President has already zeroed his mind and is preparing for a re-run Election.
Has he not put a Security formation that would do his bidding.
In the SW,SS & NW is there any possiblity of any miracle happening or with it not rather be a consolidation of power?
Don’t we even see a situation where votes are suppressed in the South East if elections are ordered in the SE.
We swim against the tide.
The choice of Akpabio as Senate President are all part of the plan.
What possible scenario do we envisage with the Kwakwanso NNPP collapsing its structure for APC in any ordered re-run.
My dear brothers elections in Nigeria are something else.
The TRUTH is that INEC as presently constituted is not capable of conducting a Free and Fair Election, moreso the one that would make Peter Obi President.
They could not do it then and CANNOT do it with Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President.
Asiwaju, the same man that circumvented all Obstacles to win the Party’s primaries, get his nominees through as principal officers of the National Assembly is not a child.
Only and only when there are electoral amendments that would make it mandatory to complete all election Tribunal cases before swearing in can there be a semblance of realism.
For now no miracle will happen.
