AA Guber crisis: Okolienta set to drag Imo CJ to NJC over delayed court case “Nwosu did not take part in guber primary, never a member”

The last is yet heard of the crisis rocking the Action Alliance in Imo State as the presumed winner of the party’s gubernatorial primary election Sir Leonard Uzoma Okolienta has expressed shock over the unnecessary delay by the Chief Judge of the state Mr. Paschal Nnadi to assign the matter to a court that will handle it.
Okolienta accused the CJ of bias and non challance over a matter that is a pre-election case and time barred because he has no God father, stressing that he still believes the court to be the last hope of the oppressed and that he will petition the National Judicial Commission NJC to persuade the CJ to assign the matter speedily and also put out appropriate measures to check mate further delay and frustration of his matter.
Lead counsel to Sir Okolienta on the matter Barr. Donald Ayibowu expressed worry and disappointment on the delay by CJ after two weeks the case was transferred from the Federal High Court Abuja to the State High Court in Owerri.
Barr. Ayibowu who spoke to journalists in Owerri disclosed that his team had made very frantic efforts to see that the CJ in whose office it is to assign the case does so but all entreaties met brick wall.
He called on Justice Nnadi to speedily assign the case to an honourable court because it is a pre-election matter which is time bound.
On the same vein, Sir Okolienta who is still laying claims to the gubernatorial ticket of Action Alliance in the forthcoming governorship election on March 2, 2019 said that he is not losing sleep that no matter the height of intimidation and manipulation against him on the case that justice will come his way.
Okolienta maintained that the delay in the assignment of his case against Uche Nwosu is a clear indication that Nwosu is campaigning to be governor of the state on a ticket he stole from the people and that such day light robbery cannot be tolerated. He called on the CJ to do the needful by assigning the case appropriately, stressing that he is putting up his act to approach the National Judicial Council, NJC if anyone no matter how highly placed tries to deny him justice.
A party chieftain who wouldn’t want his name in print told our reporter that the CJ is acting as if he is prejudicial to favour the Rescue Mission government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha who Nwosu is his anointed candidate in the 2019 governorship race.
No reason has so far been given by the office of the CJ for not assigning such a sensitive and time constrained matter despite the efforts by the plaintiff’s lawyers.
Okolienta, the presumed winner of the party’s gubernatorial election on October 5, 2018 has since dragged the Action Alliance, the National party chairman, Barr. Kenneth Udeze, the state party chairman, Mr. Ahaneku Anthony Uchendu, the Independent National Electoral Commission and Ugwumba Uche Nwosu to court for substituting his name from the INEC list of governorship candidates and replacing same with Nwosu who he alleged was not a member of the party and never participated in the primary election held at Diamond Hotels Ugwuorji Owerri.
