Guber primary: “Nominate aspirant with wider support base”…Nneji to APGA members

Mr Frank Nneji , the leading APGA governorship aspirant and the founder/ Managing Director, ABC Transport has urged members of the party including the proposed delegates to always have the success of the party and well-being of people of the state at heart as the party gets set to go into the guber primary election.
Mr. Nneji ably represented by the coordinator/ Administrative Secretary of Rebuild Imo, Mr. Brent Akomas made the call at Irette, Owerri West during Chief CY Amako’ s defection to APGA.
Nneji urged members of APGA to seize the opportunity the forthcoming guber primary would offer them to nominate the most credible and wider support based aspirant who would win the governorship election and be able to turn around the fortunes of the state.
He said that all the governorship aspirants in the party are good but the party needs a more acceptable aspirant with good tract record that will lead the party to victory. He equally enjoined them to always bear in mind the interest of the party and by extension that of the state while nominating who will lead the party to governorship election,come 2019.
Finally he reminded the delegates present of the terrible situation of the state occasioned by bad leadership and urged them always cast their votes for that aspirant that can rebuild the state.
Declaring for APGA, Chief CY Amako said the decision to join APGA which he accepted was made by his teeming followers. The Irete born politician said he was happy to heed to the decision of his followers to leave APC,adding that the party would not win any elections as a result of the present situation of the party.
Chief mako allayed the fears of the APGA leaders in the area that he did not join the party to dislodge them from their positions but to help them win the coming elections.
‘I will contribute my quota to ensure that APGA wins the forthcoming general elections. I see all aspirants as my sons. I will not give special support to a particular aspirant. It is only the party candidate that I will support to ensure he wins’, he added.
APGA in Imo state has gotten more grassroot support in Owerri West following the defection of a notable APC leader, Chief CY Amako to the party.
The defection ceremony which took place in his country home, Irette witnessed a roll call of who is who in the party.
