Okey Ezeh charges Imo APGA guber aspirants on unity …Promises to make Imo State an Oasis of prosperity

The Architect of the Imo Marshal Plan and leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Sir OkeyEzeh has urged all APGA governorship aspirants in Imo State to eschew politics of exclusion and to love one another. He stressed that they are brothers who share a common vision of delivering the state from the clutches of bad governance.
The accomplished banker made this call on Tuesday while interacting with members of the Imo State Working Committee of the party at the Secretariat in Owerri.
His words, “I have come to thank you for your tireless efforts which have begun to materialize. Everybody here must take credit for what our party has become. Today, APGA is not  just the beautiful bride but the only bride.
“All the dreams, all the hopes and all the expectations of Imo people rest on APGA.”
He continued, “I have had an abiding commitment to APGA. It is total. It is unequivocal. It is not circumstantial. I dream APGA. I breath APGA. I know a lot of our brothers have also signified interest in the race. We welcome them. We will accommodate everybody. We must remain one united family. Not one person will be left alone. We are working towards one goal: to reposition APGA, to solve the problem in Imo, to make our state an oasis of prosperity. I have no other political family apart from APGA. If APGA is my only family, it is impossible for me to play politics of exclusion.
“We must realize that our march to reclaim our stolen mandate will not be complete unless it is done through a channel that is reliable and that will reinvigorate the party.
“I want to encourage you to remain dedicated and to join hands with me to give Imo people the leadership they earnestly and so agonizingly yearn for,” Ezeh appealed.
In a similar meeting with the LGA Secretaries, Youth and Women Leaders of the party shortly afterwards, Ezeh  thanked them for their unflinching faith in APGA and encouraged them to continue sacrificing for the growth of the party. He disclosed that his personal examples in the party have been about sacrifice.
“After the 2015 general elections, many people ran away from the party. In July that year, all the positions in the party expired and to organise a Congress to elect new officers from Ward to State became difficult.  But God used me to do that Congress. I single-handedly funded it even when many never found APGA fashionable. We did that because of our abiding faith and commitment to APGA. After that, it became a problem to organise meetings of the party because of lack of funds. Then again I was responsible for most of the meetings, some of which I personally came to address.
“Even the payment of rent for the Secretariat, making sure that the party retains her identity, I have hands in it. The 40 KVA soundproof generator here was also donated by me the first day I stepped into this Secretariat. Also, in December 2017, I decided to change the profile of the party by donating twenty-seven cars to the party.”
He further reminded them that the decision they will take in the next few days will condition their lives and the trajectory of the state for the next eight years and beyond, “because it is on that foundation that the next generation of Imo people will write the narrative of Imo state.”
