UNN Alumni supports Nneji’s Guber bid

The governorship ambition of the founder of ABC Transport, Mr. Frank Nneji has continued to garner wider support from different groups within and outside Imo state. The latest is that UNN Alumni Association Owerri Branch has pledged its unalloyed support describing Nneji as a man of honour and integrity.
The association expressed it support through various speeches made by its members at its regular monthly meeting held recently in Owerri.
It will be recalled that since Mr. Nneji declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat of the state in November last year over thirty known groups have expressed their support for the ambition.
Speaking at the meeting the elder Statesman of the association, Deacon Semper Anusiem described Mr.Nneji as a man of integrity and honour who will always offer quality leadership to the state.
Anusiem who expressed the group’s support for Nneji’s decision to contest for the Imo state governorship seat said that Mr. Nneji is the right person Imolites have been waiting for to occupy the Imo state government house come 2019.
In his further description: ‘Mr. Nneji ‘always distinguishes himself out as a man of honour and integrity whenever he is”. According to him, Frank Nneji has been known for the past 30years from his university days  as a man of honour and integrity and has maintained this sterling qualities in all his dealings with people without being found wanting in character and enterprise.
In his speech, the President of the association, Sir Chinedu Ajoku welcomed the governorship hopeful and thanked him for coming to identify with his colleagues. While recounting Nneji’s dedication to the association recalled how Mr Frank Nneji would travel from Lagos where he had gone for business trip to Owerri just to attend the association’s meetings which he said stood him out among the rest.
Sir Ajoku recounted that Mr. Nneji had on several occasions provided members of the Alumni association with buses at a lower rebate to travel. He added that Nneji who is also the Chairman of Mayfair Hotels and suites has always provided the hotel facility for association committee meeting.
Speakers upon speakers lauded Nneji and pledged their support to his governorship ambition.
Earlier in address, Mr Nneji disclosed his governorship ambition on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA and solicited the support of the members of the association and Imolites in general to occupy the government house in 2019.
Mr.Nneji noted that the condition of the state has called for a known administrator cum manager like him to take over the mantle of leadership of the state.
Highlights of the occasion were featuring of a prayer session for the success of Mr. Nneji’s political ambition and the presentation of the Alumni Association’s newly designed website to Mr. Nneji.
