We shall make Imo Nigeria’s economic hub – Okey Ezeh

An APGA front line governorship aspirant in Imo State, Mr. Okey Ezeh has said the absence of credible leadership accounts for the economic stagnation which currently bedevils the State. Imo State, he lamented, now performs poorly in all indices of economic prosperity, sharing places with some terrorism-infested states of the North East in terms of economic viability.

Ezeh made this disclosure while speaking to the LGA Executive of APGA in Owerri West on Monday.

According to him, “Every day, I dream APGA, I dream Imo, I dream progress. There is nothing else that beats in my heart other than how to make Imo an economic force in Nigeria. States like Yobe are now more productive than Imo State because of ineptitude, corruption and greed. Our challenge is lack of credibility and integrity in leadership. It’s time for our people to elect a credible technocrat who can create value. This is why we are in this contest,” he stated.

In his remarks, the Owerri West LGA Chairman of the Party, Hon. Emeka Nkwoada, thanked Mr. Okey Ezeh for his matchless contributions to the growth of APGA in Imo State.  He said, “There came a time our Party was almost ejected from our current State Secretariat because of our inability to renew the rent. It was Okey Ezeh that came to our rescue, and renewned it for us. The gigantic soundproof power generating set at the State Secretariat was also given by him. But above all, he has proven to be a man of integrity who will never dump APGA if supported, because even when he suffered injustices in the past he still kept faith with us,” the Chairman maintained.

Also speaking, the LGA Woman Leader, Mrs. Grace Ugo described Mr. Okey Ezeh as a true Christian who has many qualities in common with Jesus Christ. She said despite all that he went through in the Party, Ezeh still loves everyone and loves the Party unconditionally. According to her, this is certainly an opportunity to show sincere appreciation.

It can be recalled that in the aftermath of its unimpressive outing in 2015, APGA in Imo State became unattractive to most people, and even some persons that had run for offices on its platform left without looking back. It was, however, Mr. Okey Ezeh who came all out and championed the resurgence of the Party and rekindled hope in the faithful. This demonstration of faith has won him genuine love and massive following from APGA members across the State who always seize every opportunity to show him gratitude.
