Owerri Senate: APGA backs Nwachukwu

Members of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area have described Chief Mike Nwachukwu as a trusted and faithful member who deserves the support of all.
They made the remark on Wednesday when Chief Mike Nwachukwu, a contender for Senate seat of Owerri District visited the local government and ward executives of the party at Ahiazu Mbaise.
The APGA chairman in the area, Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Okonkwo assured the aspirant that party faithful from the local government will support credibility rather deep pockets in both the primary and general elections.
Earlier, in his speech, Chief Mike Nwachukwu who was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Veronica Nwachukwu, informed Ahiazu people that his wife is their sister and as such will always go for the best for his in-laws.
He stated that the visit is familiarization exercise to announce his ambition to his in-laws.
He made it clear that his intention to run for the position was not borne out of love for materialism or paraphernalia of office, but to use his wealth of experience to fix the
infrastructural deficit in the zone,
He promised to partner with developmental agencies to achieve his goal if he becomes a senator of the zone in 2019.
He therefore promised to visit them again when the campaign takes full swing.
While asking for the support of the party executives at the primary, he pledged his allegiance and commitment to the party.
In his remarks, the Director General of Chief Mike Nwachukwu’s Campaign Organization, Hon. Bede Oduoza told the people that the visit was not for campaign purposes but, to
inform them that Chief Mike has a interest to assist in improving the quality of lives of the people of Owerri Zone through purposeful representation at the National Assembly.
He solicited for their backing to enable him actualize his ambition and called on party delegates to ensure that he flies the flag of the party for Owerri Senatorial zone in the next general election.
